Making a puzzle
How long does a puzzle take to build?
Around 30 seconds to a minute, depending on the size you chose. The work happens on our server, so keep the app open until it finishes.
What do Short, Medium, and Long mean?
How long the puzzle will take you, not how hard it is. Short is 50 colors and roughly 1,300 regions with large, easy-to-tap shapes. Medium is 100 colors and about 2,500. Long is 200 colors and around 4,900 and takes real commitment. Every size keeps roughly the same number of regions per color, so no size makes individual colors harder to find.
It says it couldn't build the puzzle.
Almost always a connection that dropped mid-upload. Try again on Wi-Fi. Your photo is still selected, so you don't need to pick it again.
Which photos work best?
Pictures with clear shapes and good light. Very dark photos, heavy motion blur, and busy backgrounds produce a lot of small fiddly regions. Portraits, pets, landscapes, and buildings all work well.
Coloring
Tapping a region does nothing.
A region only fills when it matches the number you have selected. That's deliberate — you can tap quickly without worrying about mistakes. Check which swatch is selected in the tray at the bottom.
I can't find the last few regions of a color.
Pinch to zoom in; numbers appear for smaller regions as you get closer. If you'd rather move on, the Skip button in the top corner fills every remaining region of the selected colour at once and tells you how many that is before you tap it.
Can I change the highlight color?
Yes — Settings, under Coloring. Seven tints are available. The change applies the next time you open a puzzle.
Does my progress save?
Continuously. You can leave at any point and come back to exactly where you were, on the same color you left off on.
Do I need a connection to color?
Only to create a new puzzle. Once a puzzle is on your device it works completely offline.
Your photos and storage
Do you keep my photos?
No. Your photo is used to build the puzzle and then discarded — it's never written to disk on our side. The full details are in the privacy policy.
The app is using a lot of storage.
Each puzzle keeps its artwork on your device, which is what lets it work offline. Settings shows how much space is in use, and you can delete individual puzzles or all of them at once.
Can I get a deleted puzzle back?
No — deleting removes the puzzle and its progress permanently. The original photo in your library is untouched, so you can always make a new puzzle from it.
